Peter immediately made me feel at ease

I recently completed my driving lessons with Peter. He immediately made me feel at ease - there was never a point where I felt unsafe driving the car. He is very patient and remains calm and composed at all times, which definitely contributed to me feeling relaxed when driving.

He explained everything clearly before I attempted every new thing. He knows the roads really well and so could describe exactly what to expect, and even how other cars typically behave in certain places like roundabouts etc because he has so much driving experience. This was the same when we started driving further out to where I took my test (Kingswood in Bristol) – he has loads of real test routes mapped out on his sat nav from previous student’s tests, so you gain very valuable test practice in this way.

He always had a positive attitude and if I did do something wrong, which inevitably happens with every student, he would always ask what my thought process was behind it, so that we could work through it and ensure it wouldn’t happen again.

He also always asks if there’s anything specific you would like to work on in the lead up to your test, so I was able to go over manoeuvres that I wasn’t so sure about, and so then felt confident going into the test.

All of this meant that I passed my test first time! I spent roughly 5 months learning with Peter and felt very prepared when the time came, so much so that I was very relaxed on my test and it all went quite smoothly.

Peter instilled confidence in me

I made very little progress with my first instructor. They offered irregular hours, lacked focus and had no confidence in me. So, when Peter messaged me his availability, I took the opportunity to change instructor, and it was one of the best decisions I made.

He showed up to our regular Tuesday lesson 5 minutes early without fail, and his calm and composure immediately made me feel more relaxed behind the wheel and instilled a confidence in me that I could learn to drive. When I made mistakes he would patiently explain to me what happened and what I could do differently – he never made me feel stupid or embarrassed.

After each lesson we would reflect on what I had learned and discussed what went well and what could have improved. As a result I left each lesson feeling proud of the progress we’d made and entered each lesson with an idea of what I needed to work on. I always felt like Peter had a plan for the lesson, but he always had the flexibility to incorporate the things I wanted to work on.

I can’t thank Peter enough for his help and would recommend him to anyone who wants a kind, friendly and good-humoured instructor. I didn’t think learning to drive could be so fun!

Peter was fantastic from the very beginning

I can't recommend my driving instructor, Peter, enough! He was fantastic from the very beginning. Peter's experience and knowledge were obvious, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was more than just test-ready. He taught me how to be a confident and safe driver on any road.

Although I'm based in Bath, I took my test in Chippenham, which was a little intimidating with its busy roundabouts and narrow streets. But Peter knew the area inside out. He patiently guided me through every tricky spot, and I quickly felt comfortable behind the wheel, even in a new town.

Even though I'd already booked my test before starting lessons, and we didn't have much time, Peter made a real effort to fit me in whenever he could. He focused our lessons on the areas I needed to improve and made sure I was ready for anything the test could throw at me. Thanks to his expert instruction and dedication, I passed first time!

Peter was more than just a teacher; he was patient, supportive, and made our driving lessons something I looked forward to. If you're in Bath and looking for a driving school, Peter is the way to go!!

Peter built up my confidence

I started learning to drive with Peter in September 2023 after years of bad luck with other driving schools and failing three practical driving tests.

Before I started learning with Peter I had completely given up on the idea of ever being able to pass my test. I had no confidence in myself and had convinced myself I would never pass but Peter completely changed my attitude towards driving.

After 12 driving lessons with Peter I passed my practical driving test, something which I would’ve never thought I could do!

Peter is such a calm and patient driving instructor. He has all the time in the world to listen to your worries and help you to overcome fears you have with driving. My fear was parking and big roundabouts but I no longer have those fears!

I would 100% recommend Peter to anyone who struggles with their confidence and anxiety surrounding driving.

I always felt safe with Peter

Peter was an excellent instructor. I really appreciated his patience and supportiveness which helped me feel relaxed at the wheel and ready to learn.

Better than that, I also always felt safe as he remained calm when helping me out, should I have made a mistake.

He is very knowledgeable, so going into my test I felt more than ready to tackle any problem that could occur.

By asking for my input to every lesson plan he also ensured we made the most of sessions.

Peter is very supportive

I had a great time learning to drive with Peter. I cannot recommend him enough.

He is extremely patient and highly knowledgeable. He is great to get along with, very supportive and will teach you in a way that will not knock your confidence down like other instructors do.

He was clear with his instructions and honest with his feedback. After every lesson, he will always make time to discuss what went wrong, how to improve it and what went well.

His thorough teaching and ability to mould his teaching methods to my personality helped me become the confident driver I am now.

Peter is calm and patient

My first driving instructor was impatient and unencouraging. After two years of lessons, I had made very little progress. However, since starting lessons with Peter, I improved significantly in just a matter of months.

Peter is very calm and incredibly patient. He will never have a go at you no matter what mistakes you make. He will always take the time to explain what you have done wrong and how you can improve on this. Peter is great at identifying areas to improve on, and is also happy to focus on anything that you would like to get more practice on.

He gives valuable feedback at the end of every lesson, discussing what went well and what needs some more work. He also comes up with a plan for what to work on next lesson.

I would highly recommend Peter as a driving instructor, especially for people who are feeling a bit nervous about driving. Thanks to Peter, after several previous attempts, I have finally gotten my full driving licence.

I picked up driving a manual car in what felt like no time!

Peter has always been a great driving instructor - keeping to a high standard of professionalism. His excellent sense of composure and collectedness helped guide me through the intricacies and nuances of driving.

Peter always demonstrated an enthusiasm to educate me in every scenario, be it dealing with hazards, manoeuvres or navigation.

After each lesson, we would always reflect on what went well and what needed more work.

I went from beginner to passing in 4 months!

Peter was always calm and professional but also easy to get along with. He made sure I was absolutely comfortable with something before we moved on.

I felt safe with him next to me and we would do a bit of driving, then break down the process and analyse what I could improve. I liked this as it helped me to listen while driving and kept me focused.

If anything did happen, Peter would calmly step in and instruct me in exactly what I should do. We created lesson plans together at the end of each session looking ahead to what we would do next time.
